Oh my goodness. I can’t believe I last wrote a blog in April. I blinked and we are nearly in October.
We’ve done a few things since I last updated the site. It’s only been, ahem, five months. Gosh. I should hang my head in shame (maybe over a glass of wine, that will make it seem less pitiful).
We have a custom made wardrobe! Blood, sweat and tears, along with a lot of MDF, glue, screws, etc. has culminated in this magnificent beast. At the bottom of the wardrobe is where the batteries will live. How nice they have their own little bit of paradise.

My mum moved house and we acquired a mattress that we will hopefully get to use in Hetty. It’s been put in place for want of somewhere else to store it. No sitting bolt upright following a scary dream here as you will knock yourself out.
Dave tackled the roof on the cab and had the joyful task of scraping off lots of gooey tar stuff and coating it with several layers of bitumen stuff. He did this during the few days the UK experienced 9 million degrees so as fast as it was being painted on, it dried.
We built a bathroom! Many, many, many hours went into building the bathroom. I have to say we are delighted. Yes it will have a door. It’s going to be a luxury camper with all mod cons.

We have installed an additional porthole window and this is one I can actually look out of without standing on tippy toe.

After much deliberation and debate, we also ordered a kitchen. It’s due for delivery the last week in October, which we are approaching rapidly.
The fire has been cleaned, we have spent a small fortune on the flue and other bits and pieces and the hearth has been laid. Hetty is definitely a money pit but she is really starting to come together.

I am finally finished this post on 16th October and we will hopefully fit the fire this weekend. I really ought to go and see if Dave needs my help yet.
