You’ve heard of Hadrian’s Wall, I am sure. Well, 1,893 years later, we are proud to bring you Hetty’s Wall. Whilst I agree it may not display the same feat of engineering, it took an awful lot of brain power to put together.
I realise I haven’t written anything for a bit, despite us having done a fair amount on Hetty since my last post. Things have been really busy in our lives and I just found myself collapsing in a heap at the end of each day with little energy or working brain cells left to put fingers to keyboard.

So here we are. What has been happening ……
We have built a wall, insulated the bed area, fitted a new external door, fixed loads of batons, fixed a leak, fitted a new internal back door, ordered more wood, and stuff, ordered the shower door and shower tray. The list goes on. But the bestest bit so far, in my opinion, is our stairway to heaven made from old scaffolding boards. I spent many hours lovingly sanding them down. We thought it had nailed it but found it to be alarmingly hazardous to walk up and down, so quickly decided to double the width.

It really feels like we are making progress now and with the, ahem, warmer, sunny weather on its way, we will surely be able to dedicate quite a few hours giving Hetty the TLC she deserves. I shall try not to leave it too long before my next blog.
